The journey into my world of art began on a hillside overlooking the Susquehanna River in Maryland. In my teenage years there, I studied oil painting in the small art colony of Paul Honore’. He was a true French impressionist, well known muralist, illustrator and print maker listed in Who’s Who in Art in his time.
Later my travels took me to the high desert of California where I continued to study oil painting and was greatly inspired by the ever changing desert landscape, the surrounding purple mountains, spectacular rocky coastline and the Pacific Ocean. During the stay here I became a member of an active co-op gallery in Lancaster, California.
Finally, my life adventures brought me to Florida where I discovered the beauty and transparency of watercolor that lends itself so well to the light and airy colors of this area. I have studied under several well-known artists and local art teachers and have accumulated many awards over the years both here and California. The aim in my work is to portray the essence and feeling of the piece with a story, impressionism rather than realism.
My latest venture is becoming a member of the Eau Gallery in the art district of Eau Galle, Florida. The magnificence of the art displayed here is both humbling and inspirational and the journey goes on. 321-632-2667 Here is a list of the rest of my paintings.
